Glass packaging and flat glass require a different form of selective collection. Selective collection on the street only takes packaging glass for recycling and other similar purposes.
Glass packaging comprises glass bottles, jars, glasses, vases, ashtrays and so on, which must be empty.
Flat glass from windows, mirrors and the like is collected from collection centres for proper recycling.
Bottle and jar tops, light bulbs and fluorescent tubes, ceramics and empty medicine bottles must never put in the glass container for selective collection. |
