Selective waste collection

Selective waste collection is differentiating the collection of the various fractions of municipal waste for the purpose of recycling them. Selective collection and recycling save scarce resources as well as the energy needed to manufacture products from virgin raw materials.

The key to selective waste collection is the selection that residents and businesses make of recoverable products which the authorities later take responsibility for managing.

"ORGÀNICA" Display

The Waste Agency of Catalonia of the Department of Environment and Housing provides local authorities with an element that complements the campaigns promoting selective waste collection being carried out across Catalonia: an inflatable giant.

The Department of Environment and Housing through the Waste Agency of Catalonia provides local authorities in Catalonia with a new awareness-raising tool on the benefits of selective waste collection to promote the separation of the organic fraction.

The display consists of eight giant letters that make up the word ORGÀNICA.
