Mixed waste

The mixed waste model is the selective collection being undertaken in the municipalities of Osona, and is based on the following fractions: mixed waste (paper-cardboard + light packaging), OFMSW, glass and non-segregated fraction.

The mixed waste fraction goes to a sorting plant where it is separated and classified into different recoverable materials (paper cardboard, PET, LDPE, HDPE, ferrous and aluminium packaging, card for drinks cartons and plastic mix).
