Compost - uses and applications

In the composting plant, the action of the micro-organisms on the organic waste gives compost, an excellent manure useful for agriculture, gardening and public works.

Compost is a nutrient for soils that improves the structure of arid soils and helps to reduce erosion by lightening excessively dense soils and providing absorption.

Compost may be used:

  • as a natural manure in agriculture and gardening work, in formulating substrates
  • as part of the administrations' public work projects (closing landfills, slopes regeneration, quarries, etc.
