The composting process
The composting process
Agents and factors intervening

The composting process is based on the activity of the micro-organisms that live in our surroundings (fungi, bacteria, actinomycetes); these microscopic beings are responsible for breaking down organic material. For these micro-organisms to be able to live and develop their activity, they need optimal conditions of temperature, humidity and oxygenation.

The duration of the composting process may oscillate with different factors (system, technology, space availability, etc.) between 8 and 14 weeks.
