Article 15 of the Regulation for the development and execution of Law 11/1997 of 24th April on packaging and packaging waste establishes the information that the economic agents must give the public administrations.
The article thus states that before 31st March of each year, packers must inform the competent bodies of the Autonomous Community (the Agència de Residus de Catalunya in Catalonia) of the amount of packaging and packaged products placed on the domestic market in the previous year, and indicate those that are reusable.
To help the packers to provide this information easily and quickly, the Agència de Residus de Catalunya has drawn up the Annual packaging declaration (DAE)
