The obligations of the producers or holders of industrial waste are as follows:

• To code and classify the waste according to the European waste catalogue (CER).
• To manage the waste produced or possessed according to the determinations of the Catalonia waste catalogue (CRC).
• To be registered in the Register of industrial waste producers if the activity of the enterprise so requires.
• To correctly complete the Annual industrial waste declaration wherever necessary (see Management manual).
• To complete the Acceptance sheet, the Destination notes and the Consignment notes of the different waste.
• To use companies registered in the transporter register and specifically authorised for the waste wherever necessary (see Management manual).
• To inform the waste transporter when formalising the transport, of the characteristics and hazards of the waste to be carried and of the action to be taken in the event of accident.
• To keep an updated register of the waste, with the following data:
  • the code according to the CER
  • the origin of the production (process, cause...)
  • the description
  • the management given to each one:
    • the destination and date of outlet (if necessary)
    • the documentation used (FA, FS...)
    • the transporter

  This register will serve as a base for completing the data of the Annual industrial waste declaration.
