The FA will be given to anyone asking for it on behalf of any enterprise recorded in the database of the Agència de Residus de Catalunya, either as a waste producer, transporter or manager, at the central offices of the Agència de Residus de Catalunya and the Territorial services of the Department of the Environment and Housing, upon payment of the corresponding fee.
Once the FA has been duly completed, signed and stamped by the waste producer and holder and the waste manager, it must be presented to the 'Agència de Residus de Catalunya, which, after checking that it has been correctly completed and that the proposed waste management is correct, puts its stamp on the four copies, making the copies available for the waste producer or holder and the waste manager and keeping the copy that corresponds to them.
As for the waste intended for controlled landfills, the classification must be presented for stamping.
This procedure must be carried out within 4 working days at most.
ONLY ONCE THE TWO SIGNING PARTIES HAVE THEIR COPY DULY STAMPED BY THE AGÈNCIA DE RESIDUS DE CATALUNYA MAY THE WASTE PRODUCER / HOLDER START TO TAKE THE WASTE TO THE SPECIFIED WASTE MANAGER.
Once processed, the FA will be valid for five years, unless any of the following situations are given:
a) the physical or chemical characteristics of the waste are significantly modified;
b) the waste manager is no longer such either because their authorisation has expired or by express decision of the Agència de Residus de Catalunya due to the infringement of the authorisation conditions.
If any of the above cases were given, a new FA would have to be filled out as above.
