| The Active exchange is a service of the Centre català del reciclatge (CCR) aimed at promoting the crossing of by-products in order to close the management cycle, using waste from others' processes as raw materials.
The function of the Active exchange is to seek possible uses of wastes as raw materials, using the database of the Agència de Residus de Catalunya generated from data from the annual industrial waste declaration as a source of information, but preserving the data confidentiality.
Request the Active exchange service
If you have a waste that you think might be used as a raw material in another process, you can ask for the Active exchange service.
To do this, just complete the data required on the following form, and send them by electronic mail to the Centre català del reciclatge (CCR).
Your personal data (name, address, telephone...) and the details of your waste will be reported to companies obtained from the data base that consume materials of similar characteristics to your waste, so that they might contact you and see the possibility of using your waste. Likewise, permission will be requested to be able to give you their personal details for you to contact them. It is very important that you should give all possible information on the product (above all descriptive), so that the search may be performed with a maximum chance of success.
However, the fact of requesting the service does not necessarily mean that companies will be found that consume compatible materials, nor that, if any are found, they might wish to use your waste as a raw material.
