| The Centre català del reciclatge (CCR) is an entity created by the Junta de Residus (now the Agència de Residus de Catalunya) in late 1999, to encourage and nurture prevention and the processes of evaluating and recycling waste generated in Catalonia.
- It was born for broad integration in the Catalan socio-economic network to encourage the evaluation of waste and recycling both in the industrial and municipal sector, and to nurture the synergies generated in the sector.
- It gathers and centralises all tasks related to the recycling sector in order to encourage competitiveness.

| Objectives |
|
- to enhance and assess respect for evaluation, reuse and recycling of consumer goods and the by-products of productive processes,
- to activate exchange and contact between companies,
- to encourage and motivate the market of recycled materials and environmentally correct products,
- to avoid the disposal of refuse of recoverable waste.

is
aimed at:
- Waste generators
- Companies and entities with activity in the field of material recovery and recycling
- Product manufacturers and goods and service suppliers
- Individual and institutional users (universities, local entities, etc.)

| The Centre català del reciclatge (CCR) is in the organisation chart of the Agència de Residus de Catalunya and has the guidance and assistance of an Advisory commission for consultation, with representations from the environment: Department of the Environment and Housing, municipal entities, ecological entities, recycling companies, professionals specialised in technological innovations...
