| The Programme of Municipal Waste Management in Catalonia 2001-2006 (PROGREMIC) establishes municipal waste prevention as one of its priority axes of action. Within this framework, prevention is understood as a series of measures and actions that are carried out to reduce municipal waste generation. With the intention of constituting a vehicle to channel and drive specific municipal waste prevention actions, on 4th July 2002 the Collaboration agreement was signed between the Junta de Residus (now the Agència de Residus de Catalunya), the Associació Catalana de Municipis i Comarques, the Federació de Municipis de Catalunya, the CEDAC (Council of Foodstuff Distributor Companies of Catalonia), the ANGED (National Association of Large Distribution Companies), the Confederació del Comerç de Catalunya, Ecoembes and Ecovidrio for the prevention of municipal waste". The objective of this agreement is to promote municipal waste prevention by adhering to specific projects that are developed from public and private entities in Catalonia.
To present an application or adhere to the Municipal waste prevention agreement, attach your specific projects and complete annexe 1 (local entities) or 2 (private entities) of the agreement. The Agreement follow-up commission will periodically evaluate and approve adherence to the different projects presented. You can consult the agreement on the link indicated on this page.
