| The Municipal Waste Management Programme in Catalonia 2001-2006 (PROGREMIC) establishes prevention as a priority management strategy for waste that is difficult to use, superfluous or harmful for people and the environment. Within this framework, in 2002 the Agència de Residus de Catalunya promoted a Collaboration agreement with different associations and entities in Catalonia, the object of which was to encourage the prevention of municipal waste by adhering to specific projects to provide tools for their application and to define and apply the priority prevention actions to be developed from local entities and public and private entities. From the Agència de Residus de Catalunya, with the twin aim of encouraging municipal waste prevention and, at the same time, providing a tool for the development of prevention actions, local entities in Catalonia are to be given a series of elements for communication, training and dissemination to prevent municipal waste generation.
The elements have been gathered on a single CD and can be personalised with the logo of each public or private entity and edited simply. On the CD, the 24 elements making it up are gathered according to the different receivers:
Any local entities or public or private bodies that wish to use all or some of the elements of the CD to develop a prevention campaign in their area must adhere to the Municipal waste prevention agreement with a specific project, and contact the Centre català del reciclatge (CCR) on: 93 567 3300 or by e-mail: ccr.arc.dmah@gencat.net.
