Option A: The owner takes the vehicle to a reception point:
- The reception point fills in the details of the vehicle, the owner and the reception point on the destruction certificate and the delivery certificate.
- The reception point gives the owner the delivery certificate when the vehicle is transferred.
- The desctruction certificate is given along with the vehicle to the centre authorised for treatment within 30 days, and they return a copy signed by the authorised treatment centre to the reception point within 30 days.
- The original is attached to the vehicle documentation to proceed with exclusion with the DGT, continuing the procedure established in Order INT/249/2004.
- The authorised treatment centre retains a copy and every fortnight sends the Agència de Residus de Catalunya a copy of all certificates issued.

Option B: The owner takes the vehicle directly to an authorised treatment centre:
- The details of the reception centre are left blank.
- The authorised treatment centre gives the owner a copy of the destruction certificate and proceeds as in option A.
