Royal Decree
208/2005 came into effect on 27th February
2005. Nevertheless:
- The obligation of producers
to provide waste managers with information
on the disassembly of equipment, the
obligation to label these and to establish
management systems for the waste from
their own equipment and the funding
thereof, will be required as of 13th
August 2005.
- The prohibition of the
use of certain hazardous substances
in the manufacture of new electric and
electronic equipment will be required
as of 1th July 2006.
- Prior to 31th
December 2006, an average of
four kilograms per inhabitant and per
year of WEEE from private households
must be selectively collected.
