Functions

The Technical Department depends on the Industrial Area and develops the following functions:

  • Works aimed at creating new waste treatment processes and new waste management installations.
  • Preparation of the technical reports for the legalisation of production installations and management of industrial waste corresponding to private initiative projects.
  • Preparation of proposals on the concession of financial aids to nurture the minimisation, evaluation and optimisation of waste management, in addition to the financial aids for cleaning awarded to local entities.
  • Studies and agreements and demonstration operations to analyse waste treatment technologies and the particularised or sectoral application of the chosen treatments.
  • Technical support for the development and preparation of regulations applicable to the conditions that must be applied by waste management installations.
